San Mateo Secure Seniors Project helps seniors overcome isolation and overcome barriers to health care and other needed services. The Project encourages seniors to maintain health, independence, and dignity during the golden years. Building on the inherent strengths and trusting relationships of congregations, the Project provides training, on-going technical assistance and connection to local resources. Congregational health ministers will increase their knowledge, skills and confidence to support and encourage older members.
